All,
We are unfortunately throwing up the white flag on 'Operation Freeze McLennansicles'. After seeing the fertility specialists today it was determined that the tumor is too large to go around in order to retrieve any eggs. In fear that any extraction or even an ultrasounds will create a bad situation (excessive bleeding) we have once again run into a road block.
We are not taking this as the only opportunity to pro-create. We have already been in contact with other research and fertility specialist on the subject and are exploring the possibility of laparoscopic surgery to remove Kins' ovaries, in hopes of freezing those. This process is experimental at this point, but they are making great strides in this procedure: and hell if they are cryogenically frozen, they are theoretically good for 2,ooo years, so we will have time to figure out what to do with them or wait for research to catch up to us.
We have been in many conversations with doctors and insurance agents and this process will be difficult and riddled with red tape complications. We hope that time, hospital bureaucracy and the all powerful insurance companies are on our side.
As the weekend approaches we are once again playing the waiting game. As of now our time frame for the beginning of radiation is still May 14 and we will be keeping you posted on anymore updates with the whole fertility thing.
Have a good weekend
Love,
Kins and Me~!

Hang in there...we're praying for you!Love, Mari & Kirk
Somtetimes life puts an obstacle in the road to direct you, not to steer you off course. Not sure how to apply this to this situation, but I'm sure it will eventually make sense. We love you both so much!

Kindra & Mark,
This is sad but there could be other situations that would be much worse. You have each other and that is what is important. We need to kill the intruder and move on with our lives. We love both of you very much and will see you soon. Love Mom & Dad
I certainly do appreciate your updates, but sorry to see your news regarding the fertility plan. Keep those spirits up, remembering the most important thing is to have faith in the your doctors that are helping you through this difficult journey, involving many tests, questions and decisions.
You are in my prayers for strength and the ability to make the best decisions.
Love to you both, Janis
