I want to begin by thanking all of you for your incredible love, support and kindness in many ways. This photo is from one of my best friends, Erin K, who walked for me this weekend. I love you, Em.
So Sunday nights and Monday mornings have been interesting times around here lately. We are generally nervous when we go to bed on Sunday and wake up ready to go like Mike and Mike in the morning on Mondays! Although we don't criticize others, we do evaluate the week before (because we have given ourselves the weekend off to "try" and not think about it) and begin our slew of phone calls to doctors.
We are targeting the following players for comment today: oncologist #1 to see if he will remove my ovaries this week laparoscopically, x-ray scheduler at hospital #4 to schedule my PET scan and researcher oncologist #1 (well, there is only 1) to update her on our progress with the ovary removal.
So far, that is our plan of attack today but as we are learning, plays change by the hour around here and the hail mary is still in our play book.
