Eviction Complete

The Eviction process was a success! Kindra is now squatter free. The doctors kicked the sorry guy out on the street (ok, well to the table next to the bed). It took a little over two hours to complete, but they got every last piece of that tumor out. They cut into the tissues around the tumor and the tissues were clean and healthy! They also took 4 lymph nodes out to examine as well.

Kindra is now in a blissful Morphine state. She has one of those morphine trigger drips that she can press on if she feels pain. She was in and out of sleepy time while I was there and even had a couple of dreams that she started to tell me about but then forgot or drifted back to sleep. She will be off the morphine tomorrow morning and they will get her up and walking around again.

Mark is staying by Kindra's side for the duration of her hospital stay. Her parents are in town seeing her through the operation as well. While she is very entertaining at the moment (think of drunk Kindra), it will be a hard couple of days coming up as her body adjusts. I have no doubt she will make it through it all with that smile on her face!

I kinda wish ai could make a joke about how fun it would be to get that morphone drip without having to go through the ordeal of the last four months but I'm a little too choked up for jokes . . . I'm just so happy that the squatter is gone and that you are ok. I'm so happy that you have Mark by your side and I give you both the boggest hugs I can muster right now :)

Keep up the good fight Kindra. You are in my prayers and know that the infection is just a momentary bump in the road. Let the antibiotics do their work and continue on to a speedy recovery.

Love you, Janis
