Hi all,
Just quick update... Kindra is checking into the hospital tonight due to her Hemoglobin levels being too low. Mark and Kindra packed up and are checking in now. As you know Kindra and her blog updates, she likes us to learn from her journey so she wanted me to inform you of all the details. She had me take notes! (apparently she never knew the kind of student I was). So here goes:
She needs 2 Units of blood transfused in order for them to go ahead with the surgery tomorrow. Her hemoglobin level is currently at 7.6 and it needs to be at 8.5. They are going to request if they can use Mark's blood (as he is a universal donor with his 'O' blood type).
Surgery is tomorrow at 7:30am. I don't have any details of the room number yet or anything, but once I do I will post it all.
It has brought tears to my eyes to see through this blog's comments how many loving people are in Mark and Kindra's lives'. You have all been the greatest support system!
Marnie

Cindy, Jason, & Owen
Thanks so much Marnie. We are thinking of you tonight Kins and know that everything will go smoothly. This will soon all be behind you and no more hospitals or pain. You are an inspiration and we will all be saying prayers for you tonight. LOVE YOU!
Thanks Marnie for keeping us up to date. Kindra, you are in my thoughts and prayers. And by the way, we would all be happy to try to entertain you during your post-surgery recovery. My crackberry is always with me so feel free to send any pain-killer induced banter my way. LOVE YOU!
You go girl! You're going to rock. We love you SO much! Good notes Marnie. I never doubted your skils...ok maybe a little. JK
Much Love Kins!
Matty
Thanks Marnie, We love you Kins, stay strong, and can't wait till this is all over. Now I feel bad for the drunk dial I sent you from the cubbies game last night not knowing you had to go in early but hopefully you got a good laugh out of it and at least the cubbies finally won one for you! Love you, Aim, Dust and Cole
Good luck Kins!!! Hopefully by now you are either safely out of surgery or almost there. Thinking about you a ton.

Thanks Marn and Kindra for adding me to the blog.
Kindra, I just read every word and you have made me cry - but you have also made me laugh. The crying makes sense, the laughing was a wonderful surprise that I know was probably not a surprise at all to your friends and family who love you and know your wonderful sense of humor already.
I knew you were a bright light through our bookclub discussions, but I feel I know your spirit so much better after reading this blog.
You are amazing - compassionate, loving, funny, strong - I will keep you in my thoughts and send you positive vibes!
Get that squatter OUT!
Riley
Thank you for the update! Much love to you :) Can't wait to see you soon. xo
