Hello!!! I am still here fighting the squatter.....despite that I haven't posted since Thursday! I apologize but was happily and joyously spending time with my sister, Tarra, and brother from another mother, Ryan. The top photo is Mark and Ryan from May Fest...a neighborhood festival that we attended on Saturday that has German beer, food and music. It was fun! The bottom photo is from today at breakfast after radiation...
So, Chemo day was yesterday and I drank about 4 liters of water to prepare for good veins and a positive day..........apparently it was not enough and they were just stubborn again. They had to prick me 4 times and the tears were flowing before the first needle even headed my way. Luckily, I don't have as many bruises as I did before....I am still nursing one nasty one of my arm. Both arms look like pin cushions and tell a bit of a story....this one is from my MRI, this one from my PET (oh yes, those were WEEKS ago)! After the third nurse came over and finally got a vein, I was underway. Tarra and I enjoyed yet more girly movies while Ryan worked on his computer. Annie was our first choice and it was lovely! "Tomorrow, Tomorrow, you're only a day away!!" It was followed by The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants (highly recommend it). We finally finished after 4pm and had a nice BBQ dinner on Mark's new BBQ he received for his bday (his 30th is on Thursday!).
Today, radiation went well. I call Tuesdays, Tight Chest Tuesday, because the day after chemo I feel very tight in my chest due to the chemo working so hard through my heart and lungs. It only lasts for the day but any physical exertion is difficult and I have to lay on my back to keep the airways open...just another side effect of the poison but I am trucking along through it.
This week is just full of radiation and I plan to do a little radiation education since it can be a bit foreign. I hope it will be helpful.
Thank you to those who commented about my last post....I feel so much better after what you said and still feel very positive about my treatment. Love you guys!!
Love, Hugs and Good Health!

I'm so glad you and Mark had fun with Ryan and Tarra. You deserve some May Fest! Thanks for updating us. I can't wait to take advantage of that grill next time I'm in town! Love you - E
We missed your posts this week! I know the treatment is tough and draining but keep up the positive attitude. You have a zillion people out here behind you!
Did Mark like the side burner???
Love you!
Kindra, Good to see your post; was a little worried when nothing appeared for a few days. We are thinking of you up here in the northwoods. Hopefully, we'll get to see you next week while we're in Chicago. Also, enjoyed Sisterhood--I know I'm a little old for those movies but I still think Goonies is the best. Keep fighting and put that squatter where it belongs--in squatter hell. Happy birthday to Mark--joining the rest of the 30s crowd. To be 30 again! How's your knitting progressing? Hugs--
Hi Cutie!! I loved Sisterhood! That movie is the reason I want to go to Greece! I couldn't be happier that you have had constant friends and family around you...you are truly BLESSED and so loved!!! Get lots of rest so you can stay strong mentally and physically...that squatter has no chance in living!!! Love you, Mari
Happy Birthday Marky!!! Kins is so blessed to have you by her side!!
