Hi everyone!
Two words that brought about some of the first happy tears in awhile: dramatically smaller. My day started with radiation and a pelvic exam by my radiation oncologist. After a very anxious morning of anticipation and fear, my pelvic exam (thanks, Mom, for braving it with me) revealed that my tumor is "dramatically smaller" than 2 weeks ago. My radiation oncologist feels very confident that in 1 week (I have 6 more radiation treatments), I will be ready for brachytherapy. Brachytherapy is the internal radiation....a "state-of-the-art" treatment for cervical cancer.
"DRAMATICALLY SMALLER".....boy I have never loved adjectives more.
And to top off this lovely, chocolate-covered day, I had my LAST treatment of chemotherapy today and the nurse was able to get my IV going on the first try. Hip-Hop-Hooray!!!
Today, we are simply going to bask in the good news and appreciate the power of positive thinking, technology and western medicine that is helping to kick the crap out of this squatter!
Love, Hugs and Good Health!!
