Keep On, Keepin' On

Hey Folks!

Just a quick update today on how things have been going. There is not much to report. I am still in recovery but feeling better and not in as much pain. I have stopped the Vicotin which is great and am only relying on Ibuprofen as needed. I seem to be managing the discomfort better and it is starting to subside as is the size of my belly...which is nice.

Physical therapy is still going well. I received a lymphatic massage and "manual drainage" on Wednesday where the therapist massaged the fluid around to drain more effectively. We are also working on strengthening my core muscles and "awakening" the pelvic muscles that have not been as involved while they were healing.

So, on the advice of my oncologist, I am just focusing on increasing my food intake and increasing my exercise. The food part has been difficult because my appetite has been very poor the past week but I have been walking everyday and increasing the length of my walks gradually.

I hope everyone is enjoying the dog days of summer. :-)

Love, Hugs and Good Health!

Hi there Kindra!
I'm so happy your pain is getting better. When I am back in Chicago in April, I will definitely make some more of that wonderful pasta to help improve your appetite:)
Maybe not as big of a batch this time.
Lots of love to you and Mark!
Molly

Hi Kins, I am so relieved to hear that you are starting to feel better and experiencing less discomfort. I have been out of touch with the bog b/c I lost the link and have been out of town a lot, but had been hearing from you from Jac. I love you so much and am thinking of you always. Love you, Mari
